SAIC Motor debuts at Guangzhou Auto Show

SAIC Motor will join hands with its Shanghai Volkswagen, Shanghai General Motors, SAIC Motor Passenger Vehicle, SAIC-GM-Wuling Automobile and Maxus to display more than 100 vehicles at the 12th Guangzhou Auto Show from Nov 20 to 29.

SAIC focuses on high-tech power for customers

SAIC Motor’s own as well as joint venture brands will focus on customer-oriented high-tech power at the Guangzhou Auto Expo.

The new Roewe 950 2.0T will debut at SAIC Motor Passenger Vehicle’s pavilion. The vehicle is the first Roewe model that carries the CUBE-TECH, a new-generation power assembly, as well as SAIC Motor’s own MGE 2.0T engine and TST six-speed dual clutch transmission. It fully demonstrates the strength of the medium and high-end commercial vehicles and sets a new bar for domestic B-grade vehicles.

Shanghai Volkswagen will display its own brands and Skoda at its pavilion. Lamando has got public attention as a medium and high-end vehicle. It carries not only the brand new TSI engine and DSG dual clutch transmission but also intelligent lighting system and MKE fatigue warning function. At the same time, Vision C, a brand new concept vehicle, will be displayed at the Skoda pavilion to showcase Skoda’s new design language.

Shanghai General Motors will bring 32 heavyweight vehicles of Buick, Chevrolet and Cadillac brands to its pavilion. The third-generation Chevrolet Sail is the most eye-catching model, with its inbuilt 1.5L DVVT linear quadruple cylinder engine that will offer customers comfortable new power. Meanwhile, the 2015 Chevrolet Camaro RS limited edition, Cadillac ATS-L long axis version, Chevrolet’s new Cruze and Buick Envision will all join the show.

Bibendum top new energy vehicle debuts

The electric vehicle exhibition zone is the highlight of the auto show this year. The Roewe 550 plug-in strong hybrid and E50 electric vehicles, both top prize winners at the 2014 Michelin Challenge Bibendum, will become shining stars at the zone and meet with the public.

Maxus will also roll out EV80, the first electric wide-body light duty passenger vehicle of the brand, at the show. The model features the world’s top technology and longest driving range in its field, and can last 310 kilometers in driving range after charging once.

SAIC Motor’s new energy business not only does have an intact layout but also focus on popularizing new energy vehicles with the public. SAIC Motor displayed the application of time-sharing lease on the new energy vehicles, an innovated business model, at the 16th China International Industry Fair during Nov 4-8. The time-sharing lease enables more users to try out new energy vehicles and instantly love them.
